Food Philosophy

We know you’re busy! And if you’re like us, we know you LOVE to eat. Consuming fresh and healthy foods can be quite a chore. Shopping, cooking, and cleaning can become a full time job. Let us help with that part.

At Chef Rx creating flavorful, fresh, healthy meals is our passion. Each week Chef rolls out a new menu featuring six dishes. When it comes to nutrients we love variety and so does your body. Chef selects high quality lean proteins and pairs them with fresh seasonal vegetables, fruits, nuts, some starch or dairy sources. Whenever possible we use local and organic sources. At the end of the day we want to provide our community with access to world class fitness. Since the basis of this is well balanced nutrition our menu selections provide a macronutrient balance of approximately 40% carbohydrate, 30% protein, and 30% healthy fat sources. We do not believe in extreme exclusion of any food source other than harmful chemicals and sugar.

Eating should be an experience not a chore. It is our hope that when you sit down to eat your prepared meals that you are intrigued. We hope for our community to have experiences and sustain long term results worth talking about.

World Class Fitness in 100 words or less:

Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, clean and jerk, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports.
